A club for the community
We’ve got a bit of history
In 1879 Corbridge joined Newcastle Tyne and Newcastle Rangers as the earliest teams to affiliate to the Northumberland and Durham FA. On the 6th of November 1880 Newcastle Rangers play their first proper match at their new home St. James's Park. Corbridge were the visitors, despite only fielding 10 players Corbridge won 2-1 and became the first visiting team to win at St. James's Park.
In 1882 Corbridge Juniors were formed and still run to this day.
In October 1886 a meeting held in the Angel Inn Corbridge presided over by Fred Knott (one of the first secretaries of the Northumberland FA) arranged for land owner John Green to donate fields by the railway station which became their home ground, and is where the Club is still based today.
